The Jordanian Prince who is the chief of Jordanian Relief Agencies arrived in Pakistan on October 11 accompanied by a 52-bed mobile hospital which has been deployed in Rawalakot area in AJK to conduct surgeries of the injured. Besides other paramedical staff the hospital has the services of 12 doctors at its disposal
A Jordanian rescue team also accompanied Prince Rashed, which played an important role in rescue operations in Muzaffarabad and Rawlakot.
During his meetings with Pakistani leadership the Jordanian Prince expressed solidarity with the people of Pakistan at this time of trial. He said Jordan understood the magnitude of the calamity and would continue to extend assistance to Pakistan in this connection.
The Pakistan government expressed profound gratitude for the prompt assistance extended by Jordan in this hour of need.
It may be mentioned here that Jordan's King Abdullah II arrived in Islamabad on October 14 and extended his profound condolences to Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf over the loss of life and property in the natural calamity.
Jordan had sent three C-130 airplanes, laden with aid to Pakistan to provide relief to quake-stricken people.
